-Ecco lo stesso abito modello di Burdastyle già realizzato in lana qui, questa volta, è con le maniche……oltre che con un tocco di primavera!
Le maniche ad aletta sono una bella alternativa al vestito senza maniche in una versione estiva assai meno se portato con un golfino perchè come potete immaginare la manica non riesce a rimanere distesa.

Nel cucito ho capito sulla mia pelle che non bisogna mai fare il passo più lungo della gamba.
Affrontare troppe difficoltà tutte insieme è garanzia di sicuro insuccesso.
Così con la prima versione di questo modello, scelto volutamente tra quelli classificati facili avevo tolto maniche e lampo per rendere la cosa ulteriormente più facile.
Poi nella gonna azzurra mi sono dedicata all’inserimento di una lampo. Questa volta le difficoltà crescenti sono state tre (troppe):
-l’inserimento delle maniche 2.-il tipo di tessuto 3.-la necessità della fodera Il tessuto , che non saprei come classificare, è molto leggero e trasparente, con una trama larga, per cui con difficoltà a mantenere la stessa forma.

La sera cucivo e la mattina disfavo perchè la cucitura faceva delle grinze. Ci ho messo veramente tanto tempo. Mi sentivo molto Penelope di Omero!
Poi cercando su vari blog ho scoperto che:
- mettendo sotto il tessuto una striscia di carta velina , la stoffa scivola meglio sotto il piedino della macchina da cucire. una volta terminata la cucitura si può strappare via la carta.
- ogni volta che si inizia un nuovo progetto è buona norma cambiare ago. Questo è ancora più importante per i tessuti leggeri.
Anche l’inserimento della fodera ha avuto la sua difficoltà proprio perchè il vestito ogni volta che lo stiravo cambiava forma .Inserire le maniche invece è stato meno difficile del previsto in quanto questa manica ad aletta si monta solo sul lato superiore del giro manica. 
Riassumendo: un progetto che sulla carta sembrava assai semplice si è rivelato un vero incubo a causa della mia inesperienza. Sono riuscita comunque a finirlo e posso dire che è un modello molto pratico.

Here is the same dress, Burdastyle pattern, I made beforehand in a woolen material here. This time I made it with short sleeves (and with a spring dash!)
Cap sleeves are a good option for a summer dress, although they are not really convenient if you have to wear the dress with a small sweater over. In my little sewing experience I learnt that you have not to bite off more than one can chew. If you deal with too many difficulties all together it is sure it won’t come up as you wanted to. That’s the reason why the first time I tried to make this pattern I took out the sleeves and the central zip in order to make it easier. Later, with the blue skirt I learnt how to insert a zip.
This time I had to face three difficulties (too many!):
- the sleeves
- the fabric
- the lining
The fabric is very light and in order to not see through so you need to line it. Moreover this fabric, because it has a wide weave, is really challenging to deal with, and it is hard to keep the same shape.
I was sewing during the evening and the day after I was unsewing everything I did the evening before because the seam made wrinkles ll the time.
To me, it felt like Penelope’s web.
Then I found out on the web some informations:
- If you put under the fabric some light paper it will slip better under the foot of the sewing machine.
- Before starting a new project it is important to change the needle. This is even more important with light fabrics
Lining wasn’t easy to due to the difficulty of keeping the same shape all the time.
On the other hand the sleeves were unexpectedly easier to put on because you have to sew only the upper part of the armhole
To sum up : what was supposed to be a very easy project on paper became a real nightmare due to my inexperience. Anyway I made it and I can say it was a very handy one.
